The design of the Pop Mart Shimao Flagship Store in Shanghai redefines the order of color, material, and space. This project introduces “color blocks” as visual guides, employs “restraint” to balance rhythm, and uses “blank space” to let the products and IPs speak for themselves—color is no longer background noise but a structural language; space is no longer a mere passage but a sequence of emotional transitions. Every color selection, every corner treatment, and every ray of light was precisely calibrated in the final moments before opening. Standing on Nanjing Road Walkway, this new flagship store is ultimately illuminated by the crowd—through its immersive color narratives and emotional choreography.
